Steven Bliss
Executive Director, RenewLV

Steven became RenewLV's Executive Director in 2008, prior to which he directed its Regional Health Initiative - a campaign to create Pennsylvania's first-ever bi-county health department - and served on RenewLV's Urban Revitalization Committee.
Before joining RenewLV, Steven spent several years as Principal of Bliss Consulting, Inc., providing research, policy-analysis, and strategic-communications services to nonprofit and public-sector clients. His practice cut across a variety of issue areas, including community and economic development, housing, smart growth, and welfare policy.
Steven is a member of the Allentown Redevelopment Authority's Board of Directors and the LANTA Advisory Council. Before moving to the Lehigh Valley in 2004, Steven chaired the Menlo Park (Calif.) Housing Commission, a municipal policy making body working to create affordable and mixed-income housing. He also was a member of the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association, and a participant in its Citizen's Planning Institute.
Steven graduated from Northwestern University and holds an M.A. in Literature and American Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is married to Malaika Stoll, MD, a family physician practicing in Allentown. Their children are Leila (6), Theo (4), and Ruthie (2). |

Beata Bujalska

Beata joins RenewLV as a Campaign Coordinator after interning with the Laborers' International Union of North America in their Strategic Communications department and working on state-level legislative campaigns as a field organizer. At the Laborers' Union, she assisted in media outreach and web development while researching public policy related to transportation and infrastructure. Before moving to the Lehigh Valley, she worked as a Senate staffer in the Massachusetts State House. She has a strong interest in municipal government, land-use planning, and smart growth.
Beata recently completed her graduate degree from Tufts University's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. She holds a B.A. from California State University, Fullerton, and she is a native of Northern New Jersey.

Alex N. Corgan

As an alumnus of Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Alex has spent the past five years working, living, and attending school in the Lehigh Valley. This past year, Alex worked in schools and community centers throughout Northampton and Lehigh Counties, as a Program Specialist for the Center for Humanistic Change, a local non-profit agency specializing in prevention education. His experiences in the Lehigh Valley have led to an interest in urban development and non-profit management.
Alex is in the Community Fellows Program at Lehigh University where he is working towards an M.A. in Political Science. He graduated from Muhlenberg College in 2008, with a B.A. in International Relations.
